Why does my contribution count?
By sponsoring a species at Wellington Zoo you will play an active role in conserving our native and exotic animals through:
Breeding programmes for critically endangered species:
providing a safe and supportive environment for species such as the African Wild Dogs to breed in captivity.
Upkeep of the animal enclosures: landscaping and creating enclosures that are similar to the animals' natural habitat
Animal enrichment: providing activities and variety for the animals to keep them motivated and stimulated within their surroundings

- a behind-the-scenes tour at the Zoo
