12:00noon-12.10pm Meet a real live Kereru! Gerry Whitehouse-Tedd, Senior Animal Conditioner from Wellington Zoo will briefly present the Zoo's advocacy kereru

12:10pm-12.30pm What's the scoop with kereru poop? Why kereru are important seed dispersers. Presented by Edy Macdonald, Learning and Interpretation Manager at Wellington Zoo.

12:30pm-12.40pm Meet a real live Kereru! Gerry Whitehouse-Tedd, Senior Animal Conditioner from Wellington Zoo will briefly present the Zoo's advocacy kereru

12:40pm-1.30pm Kereru: the flagship species of our urban green space Presented by Michael Gavin, Wayne Linklater and Monica Awasthy of Victoria University. Michael Gavin & Wayne Linklater will give a 10 minute each summary of why green space is important and what opportunities for the future it provides: Mike focussing on the social science and Wayne on the biology. Then Monica Awasthy will give a brief summary of her PhD plans and how Wellington public can be involved in reporting Kereru sightings etc.
