Now more carparks available - Works reduce number of car parks at Zoo

Wellington City Council is refurbishing the grandstand at Newtown Park and the work has meant that some of the carparks in the Newtown Park carpark, often used by Zoo visitors are unavailable for use.
However, there are now car parks available behind Newtown Park for Zoo visitors. Take the main entrance to Newtown Park (opposite to the Zoo side) off Mansfield Street and follow the signs for the Zoo carparks. Over the next couple of months Zoo visitors may find it difficult to find a car park near the Zoo. In order to minimise the frustration of not being able to find a suitable car park, we recommend catching the bus to the Zoo, both the 10 and 23 bus routes stop outside the Zoo.
