New Arrivals at Wellington Zoo

Come visit Wellington Zoo during the School holidays and see our new red panda, emperor tamarins, giraffe and baby chimp.
Sir Ed,our red panda cub now weighs 1.2 kgs; he is still pretty shy but is starting to venture out of the nest box to explore his home. 
Avaya and Ekeko are the only emperor tamarins in New Zealand; emperor tamarins are very small monkeys with quirky personalities and fantastic long white moustaches. 
Seun, Wellington Zoo's new male giraffe, arrived following a long journey from Orana Wildlife Park in Christchurch on the morning of 11 Apri. 
Beni our baby chimpanzee was born at Wellington Zoo on 22 October.
