Wellingtons Zoo's refurbished twilight now open

Wellington Zoo's newly refurbished nocturnal house, Te Ao Maahina, The Twilight, opened its doors to Wellington Zoo visitors on ANZAC day, Friday 25 April.
The Twilight is a reminiscent of a typical Kiwi tramping hut, and we have made the journey into the bush more engaging for you. We have also renovated the animals' enclosures which have resulted in an improved environment for them. You will be able to explore the new research hut and adventure through the bush to discover New Zealand's native reptiles and birds, you will also learn about how you can help protect our amazing wildlife in your own backyards. Come and see Tahi, our world famous one-legged kiwi, in The Twilight daily at 1.15pm in a new and improved enclosure.
