Wellington Zoo is an unforgettable location for your next function. It's the ideal setting for Christmas parties, corporate events, children’s birthday parties and family gatherings. Book a group cheetah encounter, take a tour through the Zoo or have some special guests visit your party.

Guided Tours

We offer informative group guided tours at 11.30am that allow you to encounter the animals, explore, and learn about the lives of the native, exotic and endangered species that live at the Zoo. Please note fees apply and all tours are subject to availability.

Invite some animals to your function

Our Zoo Rangers will bring two friendly animals to visit you and your guests in your Zoo venue. Make your day more memorable with a visit from some of the Zoo's most interesting inhabitants.

Our contact animals include:

• Hedgehog
• Blue tongue skink
• Shingleback lizard
• Bearded dragon
• Cockatoo

The encounter will last approximately 30 minutes. The animals that come to the event will be at least two species from this list, we cannot guarantee the appearance of any particular animal. Please note fees apply and all bookings are subject to availability.
